A Rock Show In Seattle, 1991

April 17th, 1991. Seattle’s OK Hotel.
Local favorite Nirvana performs “Smells Like Teen Spirit” live for the first time. The lyrics are up for grabs, the guitar solo is a mess and the song screeches to a halt.
And it is absolutely brilliant.
Five months later Nirvana unleashes Nevermind and the whole fucking world explodes.
Twenty years on, still a bone-crushing blast of pop perfection.

That was my scene. Although I wasn’t at that show, Nirvana was just another kickass band in Seattle back then and it was the most fun I ever had. The mosh pits were so awesome, nobody got violent, it was all for one and one for all…I’m so grateful to have been a part of it!
